The Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVDP) is an international Catholic lay organization that leads women and men to join together to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to those who are needy and suffering. SVDP members are called to the holiness of life, friendship, and service to the poor.
SVDP assists people in the parish and community who reside in zip codes 75228 and part of 75150 with food, clothing, utility bills, rent/mortgage, and other needs. No work of charity is foreign to the Society. It serves everyone, regardless of religion, race, origin, or caste.

Ways to help those in need:
- Join our outreach ministry – we need your talents and time!
- Donate to SVDP by checks payable to St. Vincent de Paul & either mailed to 3030 Gus Thomasson Rd, Dallas, TX 75228 or dropped in the Sunday collection basket at Mass, online at the parish website, cash in an envelope marked “St. Vincent de Paul” & dropped in Sunday collection basket at Mass.
- Link your Kroger Reward Card to SVDP’s number – JI334 (the second letter is an “i” not a number one)
- Link your Tom Thumb/Albertson’s Reward Card to SVDP’s number – 3679.
- Every month with five Sundays, there is an envelope in your St. Pius X box of envelopes specifically for your donations to St. Vincent de Paul.
- Put donations of unexpired, unopened canned/packaged foods in the SVDP bin in the back of the church. Please do not leave clothes in this box.
- We are available each Saturday from 9 am-11 am to accept food donations at the SVdP House at 2728 Gus Thomasson Rd. Use our list of items to donate!
- Put used clothing & household items in the St. Vincent de Paul blue thrift store box located by the driveway at the back of the St Vincent de Paul House.
