Daniel Aaron grew up in the small towns of Cuero and Nacogdoches, Texas, where he began playing the piano in church at age five. Shortly after, he started piano lessons, received several piano competition certificates and awards, and was featured on the local television show "Let's Praise Him."
Dan has been involved with Music Ministry at various churches of many faiths - Catholic, Pentecostal, Baptist, Non-Denominational, and Unity Churches. He also served as a member and director of the Chapel Hill Band, the praise and worship team for the Lifeteen Mass at St. Jerome's Catholic Church in Hewitt, Texas.
Dan earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a minor in Political Science from Baylor University. Following college, he studied classical piano with Krassimira Jordan and received a Piano Performance Certificate from the Bösendorfer International Piano Academy in Vienna, Austria.
Outside of music, Daniel's career in finance took him to California. While in the Bay Area, he served at St. Bonaventure's in Concord, California , as the Lifeteen Music Director. He also had the opportunity to perform at St. Dominic as a Contemporary Mass Accompanist, at St. Theresa as an Accompanist, at St. Lawrence O'Toole , and St. Phillip Neri as Pianist/Organist Director of Music before making a move back to Texas.
Daniel has been the Director of Music Ministries at St. Pius X Catholic Church for five years. One of the most gratifying accomplishments since joining the staff in 2018 has been the development and growth of the adult and children's music ministry of St. Pius. His friends and congregants say, "Joy sparks out of his fingertips!" He is overjoyed and honored to share his love and gift of music with you and be serving as SPX Director of Music.
When he's not busy with St. Pius, Daniel enjoys composing hymn arrangements and helping his parish develop up-and-coming musicians. Music has always been the center of his life , and his primary goal is to use his God-given talents to serve, lead, and bring God's kingdom to reality here on earth through music.
