Construction Projects and Renovations of St. Pius X Parish
Throughout the many years of the parish, the leadership has used their vision and the parishioners' strength to meet the parish's needs. The original campus consisted of a church, a couple of offices, some closets, a convent, a nurse's office, five classrooms, a kitchen, and a cafeteria. In very short order, expansion was the keyword of the day. The original school was expanded multiple times, and the convent was expanded. New buildings, most notably the current church, were added to the property. Additional property was purchased to expand parking, add ministries, and allow for a day care center.
But all of the major projects have not been additions and expansions. There have been many notable enhancements to the property, particularly at the church, with repairing a beam and the marble flooring.
We are proud of our history and excited about the future. On the links to the left, we pay homage to those visionaries who preceded us and documented many projects. The projects range from repairing one of the wooden support beams to the meaning of the stained glass in the church. It is always fun to see what is new and how it was done!
