The Festa di San Pio Committee
expresses our gratitude to the parishioners of St. Pius X parish who
attended any of the Triduum Celebration August 19, 20, & 21st. Our
parish participation exceeded our wildest dreams. We thank Father
Guadagnoli for allowing us to serve, and also Fathers Morris &
Gonzalez, and Seminarian Emmett Hall. We thank Altar Servers, Choir,
Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, Ushers, Offertory Founding families,
KC Color Corps and canopy bearers, Canopy artisans, Financial
Sponsors, Eucharistic Adorers, Adoration Captains, prayers for our
Multi Language Rosary, Ice Cream social and movie attendees, ice
cream and gelato servers, Procession banner bearers and
participants, photographer, Feast Day Mass congregation, those who
brought delicious food to the brunch, setup and clean up crews for
every event, those who worked tirelessly behind the scenes and many,
many more who came and enjoyed. To those who said “Whatever you
need, we will do!” What an expression of living faith!
During the Forty Hours of Eucharistic Adoration we logged over 1,850
hours of adorations for our Lord and we had the privilege of meeting
many of you. The Multi Language Rosary was attended by over 290
members and was prayed in 12 languages. The ice cream social and
movie were highlighted with delicious gelato and served close to 200
individuals, with many staying to watch Father’s Guadagnoli’s
favorite movie “A Pocket Full of Miracles.”
The feast day of Pope St. Pius X was both a hot and very moving day.
Father Guadagnoli began the Eucharist Procession from the steps of
St. Pius X Church with a Knights of Columbus Color Guard, a new
canopy carried by parishioners, old & new banners representing the
parish and her organizations, and over 300 parishioners walking with
Father. The Feast Day Mass was attended by more than 600
parishioners, with the St. Pius school choir leading us in song
during the Mass and two founding families carried the gifts during
the Mass. The brunch in Communion Hall, after the Mass was
highlighted, with delicious food, generously provided by some 70
plus parishioners. We were crowded but everyone had a delightful
time.
