Fr.
Michael Guadagnoli Fr. Michael Guadagnoli became Pastor January 5, 2009. He hails from South Oak Cliff and is of mixed Italian ancestry. It was in sunny Oak Cliff where he was raised along with his seven brothers and sisters. Fr. Guadagnoli was baptized at St. Cecilia parish and grew up in St. Elizabeth parish where he attended elementary school. Fr. Guadagnoli attended and graduated from Bishop Dunne High School. From there, he went on to study at the University of Dallas. Upon graduation, Fr. Guadagnoli enjoyed teaching at St. Augustine Catholic School during which time he continued to be active in parish life. Teaching others about following Christ gradually led the young teacher to consider the ongoing call to the priesthood. Fr. Guadagnoli attended Holy Trinity Seminary in Irving and the University of St. Thomas School of Theology/St. Mary's Seminary in Houston. His practicum assignments included ministries at a soup kitchen, juvenile detention center, an inner city social service agency, and visitation ministry aboard ships at the Port of Houston. Fr. Guadagnoli was ordained to the diocesan priesthood on May 17, 1997. Prior to serving St. Pius X, Fr. Guadagnoli has served as a parish priest at St. Patrick, Dallas, Holy Spirit, Duncanville, and St. Joseph, Waxahachie and on the Personnel Board for the Diocese of Dallas. Emmett grew up in Coppell's St. Ann parish. He is the eldest of four children and felt inklings towards the priesthood in high school, especially during the summers when doing missionary work in Mexico with the St. Ann high school youth ministry. After a year at the University of Dallas and a summer job working with inner-city boys in Chicago, Emmett decided to apply to the seminary. St. Pius X is the first way station in his advancement toward the priesthood. As part of their formation, students spend a few weeks with a parish after the first year in the Seminary. Emmett looks forward to continuing his formation on the road to priesthood. |
